The Los Angeles Rams have acquired cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars, which will go down as one of the biggest moves made in the NFL this year.

The Rams sent their 2020 and 2021 first-round picks, as well as a fourth-round selection in 2021, to the Jaguars in order to acquire the All-Pro cornerback, who requested to leave Jacksonville earlier this year.

Ramsey, who was the fifth overall pick in the 2016 Draft out of Florida State University, is expected to slot in as the team’s number one cornerback immediately.

The 24-year old has already been named a Pro Bowl selection twice and an All-Pro selection in his sophomore season in 2017. Regarded as a brash figure that is unafraid to speak his mind and get under the skin of opponents, he has certainly backed up his words with excellent play on the field.

Ramsey had been placed on Jacksonville’s inactive list after his trade request earlier in the season, spending Weeks 4 through 6 inactive. They were the first games that the Tennessee native had missed since joining the league in 2016.

Ramsey is expected to make his Los Angeles debut in the team’s Sunday showdown against the Atlanta Falcons.
