Oakland Raiders are currently among the worst teams in NFL, having won only two games this season. The truth is that the Raiders are not keen on winning much this year, hoping that they will get the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. But it looks like not all members of the organization share the same mindset.

Raiders’ Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr told the reporters on Wednesday that he wants to spoil his team’s plans and that he “doesn’t want the first pick” in next year’s draft.

I want to mess up the draft,” – said Carr. “I don’t want the first pick. I want to win all these games. I want everybody to be mad at me for that. That’s what I want to accomplish.

Derek Carr might even manage to get his wish come true since the Oakland Raiders are facing a fierce competition in the race to lose most games in 2018. Besides the Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals also have a 2-8 record and maybe an even bigger motivation to lose. 49ers gave up on this season after both their starting quarterback and backup suffered injuries, while Cardinals want to get high picks in order to surround their rookie QB Josh Rosen with weapons.

While the Raiders didn’t manage to win as many games as Derek Carr would like, the 27-year-old is still managing to put together a solid season. Carr is completing career-high 70.6 percent of his passes and has thrown for 2,633 yards and 12 touchdowns in the first 10 games of this season.
