Paris Saint-Germain is still not losing hope that they can convince their star attacker, Kylian Mbappe, to remain at the club for at least a couple of more seasons. According to reports by French media, PSG is set to make one last attempt to keep Mbappe by presenting him a new and improved contract offer.

Mbappe is currently on an expiring contract that will see him become a free agent in the summer of 2024. He previously refused to sign an extension with PSG, which many took as a sign that he wanted to leave the club.

Mbappe’s reluctance to ink a new deal has caused his relationship with the club to deteriorate, and the player was even suspended from training with the first team at one point in August. The two sides are reportedly on better terms now, and PSG is hopeful that Mbappe might reconsider his stance.

The club is prepared to offer Mbappe a salary increase while also inserting a release clause in the new contract. The clause would allow Mbappe to leave the club if he wishes to while enabling PSG to recoup some of the €180 million they paid to get him in 2017.

It remains to be seen whether Mbappe is willing to remain in France. He can start negotiating with other clubs in January, with La Liga giants Real Madrid being considered the favorites to sign him in case he decides to leave PSG.

PSG has had a slow start to the 2023-24 campaign, but that didn’t stop Mbappe from finding the net on a regular basis. The 24-year-old scored eight goals in nine matches he played in all competitions.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
