Paris Saint-Germain’s big three of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar could soon be broken up. According to French influential media outlet Le Parisien, Chelsea’s owner Todd Boehly met with PSG’s president Nasser al Khelaifi to open talks about Neymar’s move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

While the move is not imminent, it is believed that al Khelaifi left an impression that PSG is ready to do business and let the Brazilian star attacker leave. Chelsea would be expected to pay a fee of around €60 million to facilitate the transfer.

Neymar is currently enjoying another productive season with the reigning Ligue 1 champions. In 28 games played across all competitions, the 31-year-old player scored 17 goals and added 16 assists. Still, he has been an odd man out in the PSG’s locker room, being criticized by the fans for his attitude and clashing with the front office and coaching staff on a regular basis.

Reportedly, Neymar was offered to Chelsea this past summer, but Boehly decided not to pull the trigger on the move. His team’s struggles in Premier League since then and possible discount have now made him more eager to act.

PSG brought in Neymar in 2017 from Barcelona in a transfer worth a world-record €222 million. Since then, Neymar has scored an impressive 117 goals and added 76 assists while 12 trophies, including four domestic league titles.
