Veteran tight end Kyle Rudolph announced that he is retiring from the NFL. Rudolph played 12 seasons in the league, suiting up for the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Giants, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Rudolph played nine games with the Bucs in 2022 but only made three catches for 28 yards and one touchdown. Still, the 33-year-old will retire as a member of the Vikings, who will honor him during their Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Rudolph already has his new career lined up. He will work for streaming service Peacock as a college football analyst while also co-hosting a show at Fox Sports Radio.

“I played for so long and earned a veteran status,” Rudolph said in a chat with NBC Sports. “Now I’m a rookie getting as many reps as I can in the media world. This offseason is about, ‘Where do I fit in?’ The NBC job doing games on Peacock is cool. And talking about the storylines of the day in the NFL on Sunday nights will be cool, too.”

Kyle Rudolph spent the first 10 years of his pro career with the Vikings, who selected him in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He made two Pro Bowls while in Minnesota before embarking on one-year stints with the Giants and Tampa Bay. Rudolph has 482 career receptions for 4,773 yards and 50 touchdowns.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
