Three-time Pro Bowl running back Mark Ingram II decided to step away from professional football and into a television studio. Ingram recently announced that he will retire from NFL and start working as an analyst with FOX Sports.

Ingram will be part of the network’s “Big Noon Kickoff” show, which is set to start airing in the fall of 2023.

“I’m thrilled to join FOX Sports and BIG NOON KICKOFF,” said Ingram in a statement released by FOX Sports.

“I can’t wait to feel the energy and excitement every Saturday, alongside some of the most talented and entertaining names in our sport, at the biggest games in college football – I’m ready for the Fall!”

Ingram spent the 2022 NFL season with the New Orleans Saints, but struggled to make an impact due to injuries. He ended the campaign with just 233 rushing yards and one touchdown. This probably played a role in his decision to hang up his cleats.

Mark Ingram was drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft following an impressive run at college that included a Heisman Trophy award. Ingram went on to spend eight years in New Orleans before embarking on stints with the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. He reunited with the Saints midway through the 2021 campaign.

Ingram walks away with three Pro Bowls to his name and as the Saints’ all-time rushing yards leader. He rushed for 8,111 yards and 85 touchdowns in total over the course of his 13 years in the league.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
