With their win against the Tennessee Titans and a loss by the Seattle Seahawks, the Pittsburgh Steelers are officially the only undefeated team left in the NFL.

Both the Titans and Steelers came into Sunday’s game with perfect 5-0 records. However, the Steelers were able to outlast the Titans and get a 27-24 win, dropping the Titans to 5-1.

In the NFC, the previously undefeated Seattle Seahawks lost their first game of the season to the Arizona Cardinals, dropping them to 5-1 as well.

The Titans has a chance to take the Steelers to overtime, but their kicker Stephen Gostkowski ended up missing a 45-yard field goal try with 20 seconds left in the game to give the Steelers the win.

This clash between two of the best teams in the AFC was supposed to take place in Week 4, but it was pushed back to Week 7 because the Titans had to deal with a COVID-19 outbreak, which forced them to postpone several games.

While Pittsburgh’s defense is already recognized as one of the best in the league, the offense has been performing at a high level as well. This is the only time in the history of the franchise that the Steelers have scored at least 25 points in all of their first six games.

The last time the Steelers started a season with six straight wins was in 1978, a year that ended with a Super Bowl victory.
