Despite constant rumors about his future, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola seems like he isn’t thinking about a change of scenery. Speaking with reporters on Friday, Guardiola said that he is happy with his current job and wants to stay with Man City for years to come.

Guardiola never spent more than four seasons at one job, and his fourth season with City is underway. Still, the 48-year-old Spaniard, whose contract runs until the summer of 2021, wants to reach that mark with his current club.

“If the people say do i want to stay? I want to stay,” – said Guardiola. “I don’t have any reasons to move from here. I am incredibly satisfied to work with this club, with these players, and if the people think I am going to resign or be sacked for these results and nine points behind the people doesn’t know me so I like to be in this challenge, I love to be in this position. And if the club wants [me] next season I want to be here 100%.”

Pep Guardiola enjoyed big success with Manchester City in the domestic competition, winning back to back Premier League titles in the last two seasons. However, Guardiola’s team struggled in the Champions League where their biggest success was reaching the Quarter-finals.

This season, things look a bit different for Man City. While they play great Champions League football, sitting at the top of their group with three wins and a draw, the club isn’t at its finest in Premier League. City is currently sitting in fourth place, being nine points behind leader Liverpool.
