Manchester United’s star midfielder Paul Pogba has been in the center of numerous transfer rumors in the past year with Real Madrid emerging as the favorite to lure him away from Premier League. Still, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola claims that his client doesn’t want to leave Old Trafford and wants to find success with United.

In an interview with Daily Telegraph, Raiola said that Pogba feels at home at his current club and has a special relationship with Man Utd coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“I think that Paul really went home,” said Raiola. “Paul could have gone elsewhere. But he really chose with his heart, to go home. Paul is a very, very nice person. For example, he’s not able to be angry at Ole because Ole treated him so good when Ole was an older player and Paul was a younger player, and the respect and the love that he received from Ole means he cannot get angry at Ole.”

Pogba was reportedly close to joining Real Madrid during the summer, but Manchester United wasn’t happy with the initial offer that centered on Columbian attacking midfielder James Rodriguez and cash. Following the breakdown in talks between two clubs, the 26-year-old Frenchman decided to remain in England and now wants to be successful with Manchester according to Raiola.

“Paul wants to be successful and happy and wants to win prizes and he would love to do that with Manchester United,” Raiola added.

After having a couple of down seasons, Paul Pogba recouped his form in 2018/19 when he scored 16 goals and provided nine assists for Man Utd. Pogba also opened this season with an impressive performance against Chelsea, contributing two assists in a 4-0 win. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to build on this, as he struggled with a foot injury which has kept him off the field since September.
