The Carolina Panthers are going to be without their best player and top offensive weapon Christian McCaffrey for several weeks.

According to the team, McCaffrey suffered a high-ankle sprain in the team’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday and will most likely be out four to six weeks.

McCaffrey said that he is going to attack the rehab in an effort to try to get back on the field sooner than later. But that might not be the best course of action.

New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley, who suffered a season-ending knee injury on Sunday, dealt with a similar ankle injury last year, came back earlier than expected and didn’t look like his old self for most of the season.

This is McCaffrey’s first big injury, having played all 16 games in all three of his NFL seasons.

Even though the NFL is a passing league, McCaffrey stands out as one of the best offensive weapons because of his versatility and his ability to catch passes from the backfield and even line up as a receiver.

McCaffrey was the top pick in just about every NFL fantasy draft this year after finishing the 2019-2020 season with 15 touchdowns on 1,387 yards rushing and adding four passing touchdowns on 116 catches and 1,005 yards.

McCaffrey was also recently rewarded with a huge four-year contract extension worth $64 million.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
