The Green Bay Packers could be without their star corner, Jaire Alexander, for the upcoming Wild Card game against the Dallas Cowboys. Alexander rolled his ankle during practice on Wednesday and is officially listed as “questionable.”

Speaking with reporters on Friday, Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur said that Alexander taking the field against the Cowboys will be a game-time decision.

“We don’t know,” LaFleur said. “We’re just giving him up to game time to figure it out. He will legitimately be a game-time decision.”

The latest development adds to an already challenging 2023 campaign for Alexander, the game’s highest-paid corner. The 26-year-old player was limited to just seven games this season due to a combination of injuries and suspension. He has 27 tackles and five passes defended while failing to get an interception for the first time since entering the league.

The Packers could be without several other key contributors on Sunday. Their second-year wideout Christian Watson hasn’t played in more than a month while nursing a hamstring injury. Just like Alexander, Watson is also questionable for the Cowboys game.

On the other hand, running back AJ Dillon is dealing with thumb and neck injuries and hasn’t played in the final game of the regular season. He is listed as “doubtful”.
