Green Bay Packers can catch a bit of a break since their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned to the team’s mid-week practice for the first time since injuring his knee in Week 1 game against Chicago Bears. Rodgers took part as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice, which is usually the Packers’ longest session of the week.

Aaron Rodgers suffered the injury in the first half of the game against the Bears and was forced to leave the field, being replaced by backup QB DeShone Kizer. Rodgers came back into the game in the second half and orchestrated a 20-point comeback to get his team the win. The 34-year-old played in Week 2 and 3 as well, but only took part in team’s Saturday practices. Now it looks like he could be back to his full form soon.

It’s three weeks now, 2½ games of dealing with this, so I feel good about my movement.” – said Rodgers on Wednesday. “I‘m getting better. And hopefully, at some point, I’ll be able to practice again before Saturday. But other than that, just getting ready to play.”

Packers’ tight end Jimmy Graham also returned to practice as a limited participant. Graham struggled with a knee injury, and the team’s head coach Mike McCarthy decided to excuse him from practicing on Wednesday.

Being smart with Jimmy,” – said McCarthy of his decision.

In Week 4, Green Bay Packers are facing the Buffalo Bills at home.
