Green Bay Packers’ offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga is finally ready to play football again; at least at practice. Bulaga was out since Week 9 of 2017 season when he tore his ACL in the game against the Lions. Now, almost nine months later, the 29-year-old was activated off the physically unable to perform list by Packers.

He just passed his physical today, so Bryan Bulaga will practice in a limited-return mode,” – Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters on Friday. “I know he’s excited about the news that he got this morning from Dr. [Pat] McKenzie.”

This is excellent news for the Packers, who will get a valuable reinforcement to their offensive line. If everything goes well during the training camp, Bryan might even be ready to play in the season opener against the Bears on September 9th.

Bulaga already tore his ACL back in 2013, during the preseason and went to miss the entire regular season. He came back to play one of his best career seasons after that; something Packers hope he will do this time around as well.

Green Bay Packers selected Bryan Bulaga in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Although starting his rookie season as a backup, he managed to get his first start in Week 5 and was named into the NFL All-Rookie team. In 2015 Bulaga signed a five-year deal, worth around $7 million per year that will keep him with the team through 2019 season.
