Oklahoma City Thunder has completed the signing of guard Marke Brown from Turkish side Daruşşafaka. The terms of the contract, announced on the 24 of September, remain undisclosed.

This move has raised many eyebrows, as Brown is now the sixth guard on Oklahoma’s roster, making it a very guard-heavy side. This will be Brown’s second spell at Thunder, due to having played for the Thunder’s NBA G league side Oklahoma City Blue during the 2017-18 season.

During his tenure for the G League side in 2017-18, Brown appeared in 22 games and scored 17.2 points per game on average. His standout moment for Oklahoma City Blue came when he scored a career-high 41 points in one game against Wisconsin Herd.

He then tied with his career-high points tally in February 2018, during a game where he helped the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to an emphatic 117-11 win.

This deal was publicly announced by General Manager and Executive Vice President Sam Presti. The Thunder will officially hold their press day on September 31, before commencing training camp on October 1, which Brown is expected to attend.
