NFL Announces International Games in 2022, Bucs and Seahawks to Play in Germany

The NFL revealed the schedule for international games the league would play in the 2022 NFL season. There will be five games played outside the U.S. this year, with three taking place in London, one in Mexico City, and one in Munich, Germany.

The 2022 season will be the first time Germany hosts an NFL event. The game will be played between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks on November 13. It will take place at Allianz Arena, the home of Bundesliga soccer powerhouse Bayern Munich.

Mexico City will host the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals on November 21. This will be the fifth time that NFL teams play in Mexico at Club America’s Estadio Azteca.

As was the case in previous years, London will get the biggest chunk of international NFL games. The Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints meet on October 2, while the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers will face on October 9. Both of these games will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Finally, the Denver Broncos will play the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley on October 30. Check out the full schedule below.

The Packers were the only NFL team that hasn’t played internationally, but that will change this season. The Jags have played the most games abroad (8) and own a 4-4 record. The Bucs played three international games and lost all three, while the 49ers, the Seahawks, the Saints, and the Giants all own 2-0 records when playing outside the United States.
