Brazil’s national team is waiting with bated breath to find out the extent of a knee injury that Neymar suffered during training on Tuesday.

The star forward limped off of the field in a training session in his home country after feeling pain in his left knee.

The Paris Saint-Germain star went to the ground clutching his knee after feeling the discomfort. While he was able to leave training under his own power, he appeared to be in a lot of pain.

It’s been a rough week for the 27-year-old superstar, who was stripped of his captaincy for the Brazilian national team in favor of Daniel Alves before Copa America. Now, he will be forced to wait and hope that his latest knee scare won’t limit his participation in the South American tournament.

The flamboyant forward has scored an absurd 60 goals in 98 career games with his nation’s team. He is only 18 goals away from passing Pele’s record with Brazil and establishing himself as the best scorer in the history of his country’s team.

Despite his goal-scoring exploits, Neymar is still yet to win a single major tournament since debuting with Brazil in 2010.

His knee will have to heal on time if he wants to be ready to try for a title again when Brazil opens against June 14th against Bolivia.
