New Orleans Saints decided to add some veteran experience at running back position and sign former Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West. According to NFL Network, West agreed to a one-year veteran-minimum deal with the Saints. The 27-year-old confirmed the deal on his social media.

New Orleans Saints found themselves in a need of an experienced backup running back when their Pro-Bowl RB Mark Ingram received a four-game suspension for violating league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances back in May. Before settling on Terrance West, the team also auditioned Jamaal Charles, Tim Hightower, and Shane Vereen. If West doesn’t manage to make an impact, the Saints will likely turn to some of their youngsters like Boston Scott, Trey Edmunds, and Jonathan Williams.

Terrance West entered the league in 2014 when Cleveland Browns drafted him in the third round of that year’s draft. In his rookie season, West was the team’s leading rusher with 673 yards rushing on 171 carries while also having four touchdowns. Still, the Browns decided to move on from West due to his off-field behavior and trade him to Tennessee Titans in 2015.

Titans waived Terrance West after two games, and he signed with the Baltimore Ravens for the rest of 2015 season. West stayed with the Ravens for 2016, and had his best NFL season, playing in all 16 games and rushing 774 yards on 193 carries. He also had an encouraging start of the 2017 season, but a calf injury limited him to only five games and Ravens decided not to bring him back for 2018.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
