“It felt great,” Leonard said about the pre-match ceremony. “They gave me some more energy, I felt the support, and it only fuelled me to play better.”

Derozan Scores 28 in Spurs Debut

DeMar DeRozan hit a mid-range jumper to commence his reign in San Antonio with a bang. The game ended with the 29-year-old having scored 28 points and the Spurs beating the Timberwolves 112-108. Speaking of Wolves, Jimmy Butler was in action on Wednesday after an offseason that revolved around his future in Minnesota.

The 29-year-old scored 23 points and seven rebounds but his stellar performance was not enough to secure Minnesota a win over the Spurs.

Davis scored 32 points and 16 bounds while his counterpart scored 30 points and 10 rebounds as Houston’s Carmelo Anthony struggled to convert 3 of 10 shots from the field.
