NBA.com recently presented the results of their annual survey in which they asked the general managers of all 30 teams about their predictions for the upcoming season. According to NBA GMs, the Brooklyn Nets will win the title in 2021-22 while Nets superstar Kevin Durant is the favorite to get the NBA MVP award.

Brooklyn was the overwhelming pick to be future champions among the voters, receiving 72 percent of the total votes. The Los Angeles Lakers, who were favorites in last year’s survey, were given the second-best chance with 17 percent of the votes while the defending NBA champs, the Milwaukee Bucks, received just 10 percent.

The GMs predict that the MVP race will be a lot closer, with Durant’s 37 percent of the votes being closely followed by 33 percent of the votes for Dallas Mavericks phenom Luka Doncic. The duo is followed by the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (13 percent), the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid (seven percent), Brooklyn’s James Harden (seven percent), and the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry (three percent).

The survey also showed that the NBA GMs would select Doncic to start their franchise among all other players, think the Memphis Grizzlies’ Jaren Jackson Jr. will have a breakthrough season in 2021-22, and expect the Houston Rockets’ Jalen Green to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award.
