Former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez seems to be seriously considering a move to Major League Soccer. Currently a free agent, Suarez recently revealed he has offers from multiple MLS teams.

In a chat with Radio Sport 890, Suarez said that there are “five or six” teams that are chasing his services at the moment. However, the issue for the Uruguayan is that neither team is able to make a compelling offer at the moment.

Suarez revealed that there are two groups of MLS teams in the running. The first group would like to get him on board in January as they don’t have a Designated Player slot currently available. The second group can take him right away, but they are not competitive, and that poses an issue for the 35-year-old player.

“If some MLS teams don’t qualify for the playoffs, they end their season in the first week of October, and that’s not useful for me because I would stop for a month ahead of the World Cup, which wouldn’t be good for me,” Suarez explained.

Still, Suarez is ready to consider all of the offers that came his way before making a final decision. He also added that he intends to settle his future in the next two weeks.

Considered one of the best strikers of his generation, Luis Suarez played for Ajax, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid, among other teams. He is best known for his time with Barca, where he spent six years and won every trophy imaginable. He also scored 194 goals and dished 113 assists in 281 matches. Suarez spent the past two seasons with Atletico and helped the team lift the La Liga trophy in 2020-21.
