Talented but underachieving Italian forward Moise Kean will try to resurrect his career in France. Ligue 1 champs Paris Saint-Germain confirmed over the weekend that they acquired Kean on a season-long loan, bringing in the 20-year-old forward from Premier League side Everton.

PSG was on the market for an attacking reinforcement over the past several weeks, lacking depth up front following striker Edinson Cavani and forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s departure in the summer. French club considered several options veteran options but ended up choosing a youngster that wouldn’t mind not being the first option.

PSG’s starters in the attack are Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Mauro Icardi, and it is hard to see anyone usurping their spots if they are healthy.

“I am really proud and happy to become a Paris Saint-German player,” said Kean upon arrival to his new club. “It is one of the best clubs in the world as shown by their Champions League campaign last season where they reached the final.”

Moise Kean comes to Paris after a disappointing season with Everton, which saw him scoring just four goals in 37 matches since August 2019.

Kean came to Merseyside as a big acquisition from Juventus, but failed to adapt to Premier League and was out of manager Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for a while. He only made two appearances in Premier League this season, clocking 13 minutes off the bench.
