Following their UEFA Champions League win, Liverpool faced a harsh reality of their top two players Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane being courted by Europe’s richest clubs. But it seems like the team and the fans have nothing to worry about, as Salah and Mane have reportedly decided to reject big contract offers from other clubs in favor of staying in the Premier League.

According to The Daily Mirror‘s John Richardson, Salah and Mane had a talk with Liverpool executives in the past few days, and informed them that they have passed on tempting offers from “leading continental clubs.” The duo intends to stick around for at least one more year and try to help the club win Premier League trophy.

Mohamed Salah was particularly interesting to a number of clubs, with Real Madrid and Juventus preparing offers in the range of $200 million for his services. Still, when these clubs approached Salah for contract negotiations prior to sending the offer, the 27-year-old Egyptian forward turned them down.

Although he wasn’t as spectacular as in 2017/18, Salah still managed to deliver a great season and provide 22 goals and eight assists in the national competition. He also added five goals in Champions League.

Sadio Mane was also on Real Madrid’s radar. The La Liga giants tried to lure him to Spain last summer, but Mane opted to stay in England, and it looks like he will do the same in 2019 as well.

Mane scored 26 goals in all competition this past season.
