Veteran defensive tackle Michael Brockers won’t be leaving Los Angeles after all. According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Brockers’ previously agreed deal with Baltimore Ravens fell through prompting the 29-year-old to re-sign with the LA Rams.

Brockers entered this offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and initially accepted a three-year, $30 million deal from the Ravens two weeks ago. The issues arose when Baltimore tried to re-negotiate the deal having concerns over Brockers’ ankle injury he suffered in Week 17 game against Arizona Cardinals.

The two sides eventually couldn’t come to new terms, enabling Rams to swoop in and offer Brockers a contract that could pay him up to $31.5 million over the course of the next three years.

The player confirmed the news on his social media on Friday morning.

Michael Brockers, drafted 14th overall by Rams in 2012, proved to be an extremely durable player over the course of his NFL career.  After playing 13 games in his rookie season, he only missed two games in the following seven years.

Brockers’ finished 2019 with career-high 63 tackles to go with 3.0 sacks, nine quarterback hits, and one pass deflection.
