The Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is facing a high ankle injury, coach Mike McDaniel confirmed. With Waddle listed as questionable, the Dolphins are now concerned that the wide receiver will not be fit in time to play in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Waddle injured his ankle during the Dolphins’ 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, leaving the field of play with what was considered a shin injury and not returning for the remainder. Only on Monday did McDaniel reveal that Waddle was dealing with “more of a high ankle” issue.

Following Waddle’s exit, the Dolphins had to rely on Tyreek Hill for the rest of the game given that fellow wide receiver Robbie Chosen was out with a concussion. Still, McDaniel expressed optimism about Waddle’s prospects of recovering in a timely fashion given his quick recovery timeframes from previous injuries.
