Major League Soccer might have another Mexico star next season. According to TUDN, Betis winger Andres Guardado is set for an MLS move in 2020.

TUDN reports that Guardado is currently close to making an agreement with Chicago Fire, but several other teams are believed to be in play as well. The Mexican international was also linked with MLS move last season when LAFC was interested in his services.

The info was later on passed by the official MLS Twitter account, which means something is definitely going on here.

Andres Guardado spent the majority of his career in Spanish La Liga, but also had stints with German side Bayer Leverkusen and Dutch powerhouse PSV. Guardado joined Betis in 2017, and quickly emerged as one of the team’s key players and leaders. So far he played 76 games with Betis in all competitions, contributing with two goals and 12 assists.

Guardado made his debut with Mexico national team in 2005 and was ever-present since. He made 158 appearances for the senior team, scoring 28 goals in the process.
