Manchester United is looking to continue their busy summer in the transfer market as Premier League giants attempt to reshape their underperforming squad. According to L’Equipe, Man United is now interested in signing French midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired. This means that Manchester United wouldn’t need to pay a transfer fee to get him, although it is also the reason why they are expected to face some competition for players’ services.
Rabiot is currently weighing his options but is believed to be very interested in playing in the Premier League for the first time in his career. He was linked with a move to Man United last summer, but ended up deciding to remain with Juve for another year.
Manchester United previously brought in striker Joshua Zirkzee, paying Bologna $46.3 million for his service. They also completed a transfer for teenage defender Leny Yoro, who arrived from Lille for $67.5 million.
At the same time, the English club is also working hard to trim down its squad and sell underperforming players. The likes of Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Scott McTominay, and Christian Eriksen are all believed to be free to go if the right offer comes along.
