The controversies regarding the fate and future of the Belgian International Romelu Lukaku continued in these last few days of the transfer window and they seem to get even more complicated than before. After his transfer became uncertain once again, media started speculating about the clubs interested in signing him. Shortly after, an unexpected turn of events unfolded.

The tensions between the 26-year-old Lukaku and his current club Manchester United are rising again after the club announced that they would fine the player because he missed the club’s training session without getting permission. The fine comes after Lukaku spent two days during this week training with Anderlecht, which he believes he had permission to do.

Now, he is facing a possible fine consisting of two week’s paychecks at most, which will not come easy for him. To top things off, he will be issued a second fine for posting confidential stats for his teammates on his social media accounts which infuriated both the club’s management and his fans.

It was reported that the players’ agent has arrived in London and will try to renegotiate the situation with the club. The saga continues with new reports!
