Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United side continued its impressive recent run with a 0-2 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

This win advances Manchester United to the quarter-final round of the FA Cup, EnglandĀ“s annual domestic knockout tournament.

Chelsea was frustrated by the solidity of Manchester United all night. Despite retaining posession of the ball for 67% of the match, the Red Devils frustrated the London side and prevented them from generating many clear goal opportunities.

Manchester United jumped out to a 0-1 lead with an Ander Herrera goal in the 31st minute of the match. They were able to double their lead to 0-2 when star midfielder Paul Pogba scored a goal in the final minute before halftime.

Man U stayed solid defensively and cruised to a 0-2 victory after keeping Chelsea out of the net in the second half. Their win propels them to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, where they will face Wolverhampton.

Chelsea’s disappointing home defeat has generated speculation about manger Maurizio SarriĀ“s job security with the Blues. Reports have indicated that this could be the final straw in a disappointing season for Chelsea. They could make a managerial change after Monday nightĀ“s loss.

Man U will return to action in the Premier League at home against Liverpool on Sunday, while Chelsea hosts Malmo FC in Europa League action on Thursday night.
