Manchester City’s shock Champions League defeat to Tottenham could’ve broken their spirit and ruined their chances at the Premier League title this season.

But, Pep Guardiola’s side is refusing to let their spirits be dampened, a fact which was proven with a massive 0-2 victory at cross-town rivals Manchester United on Wednesday night.

The win has propelled Man City into first place in the Premier League, with 89 points compared to Liverpool’s 88.

Three matches remain for both teams, and if City doesn’t trip up, they could very well be on their way to claiming their second consecutive EPL title.

City won in dominant fashion on Wednesday, keeping United from scoring and putting two balls into the net themselves. This is no easy feat, especially when playing in a stadium as hostile as Old Trafford is.

The two sides went into the break tied, but Man City’s attack won out in the second half.

Bernardo Silva scored the first goal of the match in the 54th minute to put his team up 0-1.

Only 12 minutes later, Leroy Sané was assisted by Raheem Sterling for the definitive 0-2 goal.

City’s three remaining games are at Burnley, at home against Leicester a City, and at Brighton & Hove Albion. They’ll be heavy favorites in all of these games and now look like clear favorites to take home the EPL crown.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
