Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has urged his team to pick themselves up after their disappointing 2-0 loss to West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday. This has so far been Man United’s worst start to a season since 1930, with the team losing 13 games across all competitions.

“We have to play two more games this week but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves,” Ten Hag remarked. “No-one. We have to take the responsibility, if you are a player for Manchester United you have to do it together. Everyone has to be accountable and take responsibility.” While United’s attacking lineup has struggled to score goals this season, the Dutch manager insisted that he retains faith in forwards Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho.

Despite controlling possession for most of the game, United were unable to threaten West Ham’s defense. The Hammers, on the other hand, proved decisive with their shot-taking, with Jarod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus scoring late in the second half to secure a valuable three points for West Ham.
