Star striker Marcus Rashford still hasn’t agreed to a new contract with Manchester United, but his manager Erik Ten Hag believes that is just a matter of time.

Speaking with reporters earlier this week, Ten Hag said that he is confident the two sides will eventually find an agreement. Rashford has one year left on his deal and could leave Old Trafford for free in the summer of 2024.

“Marcus wants to stay, and we want him to stay, so I think we will find each other,” said Ten Hag.

Ten Hag explained that he knows where the holdup is in talks between Rashford and Man Utd but said there are more important things to focus on at the moment.

“This is not important at the moment for me or Rashy,” the manager added. “For him, it is to get more goals this season. He is playing a wonderful season, and the team is playing a wonderful season. We have to get into the Champions League and focus on that.”

Rashford has been United’s top goalscorer this season, netting 29 goals in all competitions while adding 11 assists.

Manchester United is currently sitting fourth in the Premier League standings and has the last UEFA Champions League spot in their possession. However, they need a strong finish to the season, as Liverpool lurks with just one point behind them.
