Manchester City’s forward Gabriel Jesus is already plotting an exit strategy after the Premier League powerhouse announced the capture of Norwegian phenom Erling Haaland. According to Jesus’ agent Marcelo Pettinati, the 25-year-old player is in talks with Arsenal and is considering a move to the London club in the summer.

“We had talks with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus,” Pettinati revealed in a recent chat with the UK media outlet The Guardian. “We like the project — it’s a possibility we’re discussing.”

Pettinati added that Arsenal isn’t the only club interested in Jesus and that six other clubs are monitoring his situation.

Haaland’s arrival to City, which was announced earlier this week, will probably mean less playing time for Jesus. However, the Brazilian views himself as a first-team player and could attempt to force a move if this ends up being the case. Also, he only has one year left on his deal, which should make Manchester club more open to bids.

Despite the interest of other teams in Jesus, Arsenal is believed to have a significant advantage. The club’s manager Mikel Arteta already knows the player, having worked with him while serving as Pep Guardiola’s assistant. Moreover, the sources close to the player indicated that Jesus thinks highly of Arteta.

Gabriel Jesus joined Manchester City in 2017 from Brazil side Palmeiras. Since then, Jesus played 234 games with City, scoring 95 goals and dishing 46 assists. He helped the club win nine trophies, including three Premier League titles.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
