The Los Angeles Chargers joined a long list of teams that have released new uniforms this offseason, publishing a series of posts on social media on Tuesday revealing an updated look.

The Chargers, who moved from San Diego to Los Angeles between the 2016 and 2017 seasons, did not change their look when the franchise relocated to America’s second-biggest metropolitan area.

However, the team has now decided to update its look with a familiar, yet new, design.

Los Angeles released four new uniforms and four new sets of pants along with a new helmet that modernizes the team’s classic blue, white, and yellow look.

One major change that the team revealed with the new uniforms, and possibly the most noticeable addition, are numbers that correspond to the players’ uniform numbers under the lightning bolt on the white helmets.

Another change that fans took notice of was the addition of a sleek lightning bolt to the side of all of the team’s pants, altering the previous version that was encapsulated in another color.

While the general look of the team remains the same, a new update could help them establish their new identity as a Los Angeles-based team after their long history in San Diego.
