The Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball posted a video of himself dunking on social media, explaining that he is making headway in his recovery from his left knee injury.
According to Bulls coach Billy Donovan, Ball is making small strides on the road to recovery and has shown signs of being able to do certain actions that he was incapable of six weeks ago.
“Is there pain there? Yes, there’s still some discomfort there,” Donovan said of Ball’s injury status. “I’m not trying to say what Lonzo’s pain is. But the question is does he have pain? Yes. Is it the same pain he was dealing with six weeks ago? No. How much better is it? It’s good enough that he can get on a treadmill and do some running and he can go jump and go dunk the ball.”
Ball stated during a team charity event last month that he is experiencing improvements in his surgically repaired knee, which appeared at the time to be his most positive update since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgeries on both knees last January.
