Liverpool and Manchester City both took care of business over the weekend to keep pace in the Premier League championship race.
Liverpool had the more daunting matchup of the two, playing host to Chelsea on Sunday. They won by a 2-0 final score, maintaining their one-point lead over Man City.
While the first half went by without a goal, Liverpool broke it open in the first ten minutes of the first half. Sadio Mané and Mo Salah scored two goals in rapid succession at the beginning of the first half to give the Reds that they wouldn’t relinquish.
They now have a total of 85 points, one more than Man City.
Man City, on the other hand, won 1-3 at Crystal Palace.
Their win came on the back largely of a Raheem Sterling hat trick, who continued his strong season.
They do hold a slight edge over Liverpool, considering that they have played one fewer game than the Reds and are only one point behind them.
It appears that the EPL race is going to go down to the wire, and we might not know who will win until the very end.
