At the start of this summer, it didn’t seem like the British Premier League club Liverpool was planning on bringing home reinforcements. However, this changed and Liverpool is bringing new and very young players who are expected to strengthen the team in future seasons.
So far, they have signed only one player – the young defender Sepp van den Berg at the beginning of July. This weekend, Liverpool managed to sign the winger Harvey Elliot from the British club Fulham. The fee that the club will pay is still unknown.
It was reported that many great European clubs were interested in signing the wunderkind winger, including Leipzig, Barcelona and Real Madrid but Liverpool managed to beat them to it. The interest is very high since Elliot is expected to be a great player, showing great skills at a very young age.
Elliot is currently just 16 years old and he holds a record as the youngest player who has been part of the first team in his previous club. But more importantly, he was the youngest ever player to appear in a Premier League match when he entered a game against Wolves as a substitute.
