Yes, NFL teams are still making trades. The latest one saw Detroit Lions getting linebacker Eli Harold from San Francisco 49ers. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Lions gave up a conditional seventh-round pick in 2020 to acquire Harold.

Although he started 10 games for the 49ers in 2017, Eli Harold didn’t manage to impress, and the team will now turn to Dekoda Watson. Reportedly, Watson might not end up keeping the starting job, since the team is considering bringing in another linebacker if the opportunity arises.

Lions, on the other hand, was looking to add an outside linebacker in order to give Devon Kennard, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, and Jarrad Davis some help. Harold might not be the flashiest solution, but the change of scenery could get some better games out of the 24-year-old.

San Francisco 49ers selected Eli Harold in the third round of 2015 NFL Draft. Harold went on to play in all 16 games of his rookie season and but failed to have an encouraging campaign with 14 tackles and one fumble recovery. In the following two seasons, he started 24 games but didn’t increase his production all that much. Harold had 71 tackle and 5.0 sacks in 2016 and 2017 combined.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
