Lille and Canada international forward Jonathan David has once again become a target for top European clubs. According to French media outlet L’Équipe, David is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.

While L’Équipe doesn’t mention which clubs could make a run at David, it is expected that his old suitors, like West Ham and Aston Villa, are involved. Additionally, Chelsea is believed to be exploring David’s availability as well.

Any Premier League club that wants to sign David this summer will likely have to make a convincing offer to Lille but also fend off interest from La Liga side Atletico Madrid. The Spanish club is already engaged in talks with Lille, and it will only take a matter of time before they make a firm bid. David is worth around €50 million, according to Transfermarkt.

Jonathan David has had another strong campaign for Lille, scoring 19 goals in 34 games in Ligue 1. He finished the 2023-24 season with 26 goals and nine assists in all competitions.

David, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, made his professional debut with Belgian outfit Gent in 2018. After two years in Belgium, he secured a €30 million transfer to Lille ahead of the 2020–21 season.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
