Many were puzzled on Thursday when Los Angeles Lakers forward and basketball superstar LeBron James shared a mysterious post on his Twitter feed.

As it turns out, the basketball superstar was hinting towards a move that was later reported by members of the media, that the four-time MVP was reverting to the jersey number #6 that he had previously used during four seasons with the Miami Heat.

LeBron, who became synonymous with the number 23 during his years with the Cleveland Cavaliers, used the same number during his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

However, with the Lakers’ acquisition of power forward Anthony Davis, who has worn #23 throughout his NBA career, LeBron has decided to switch back to the number that he used while playing with the Miami Heat.

While LeBron only spent four seasons wearing the number six, between 2010 and 2014, he accomplished plenty with that jersey number on his back. He won two NBA titles and two MVP awards during his tenure with the Heat.

Just over three months remain until the new-look Lakers and LeBron James kick off their pre-season campaign with a visit to San Francisco to take on the Golden State Warriors.
