Los Angeles Lakers suffered a 124-107 loss on Sunday to the Denver Nuggets in their first preseason game of the year, but no one paid too much attention to the score. The more important thing was that LeBron James made his first official appearance on the basketball court in San Diego wearing a Lakers’ jersey.

It was an emotional moment for both the LA Lakers fans and the 33-year-old himself. Lakers’ fans knew that they can compete once again after spending several years at the bottom of Western Conference, while James entered the final stage of his NBA career in which he will try to reach the GOAT status in LA and follow the footsteps of Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Jerry West and other greats who have worn the purple and gold.

Playing in front of a sell-out crowd, LeBron James scored nine points and added three assists and three rebounds before deciding to take a rest in the second half. While he didn’t play much, LeBron James did enough to get the Lakers’ fan excited with few flashy moves which included no-look wraparound pass to Brandon Ingram.

You can check out the highlights of James’ first game with the Lakers below.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
