LeBron James and his son Bronny James made NBA history on Sunday night, with the pair playing together in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 118-114 victory over the Phoenix Suns at Arcisure Arena. This was the first time in the NBA that a father and son have played a game together.

History was made when Bronny took to the court during the second quarter, celebrating his 20th birthday in addition to making history. The pair played together for four minutes and nine seconds. LeBron led the scoring charts for the game with 19 points, along with four assists.

“For a father, it means everything,” LeBron said about playing alongside his son. “For someone who didn’t have that growing up, to be able to have that influence on your kids and have influence on your son. Be able to have moments with your son. And ultimately, to be able to work with your son. I think that’s one of the greatest things that a father can ever hope for or wish for.”
