Before the 2024 season kicked off, the Baltimore Ravens were considered one of the top teams in the NFL and Super Bowl favorites following an AFC Championship run last year. But they received a harsh reality check on Sunday with a 26-23 loss to the rebuilding Las Vegas Raiders that made them 0-2 to start the campaign.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Ravens’ star quarterback Lamar Jackson said that this kind of situation is uncharacteristic for his team and that they need to find their “mojo” to turn things around.

“We’ve got to find our mojo and do what we do because that’s not us at all,” Jackson said after the game.

Jackson did well for his part, throwing for 247 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 45 yards. However, he did have one costly interception in the third quarter that resulted in a Raiders’ TD.

After a close loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener, the Ravens were expected to bounce back against Las Vegas and get a “feel good” win. It certainly looked like this was going to be the case as they entered the fourth quarter with a 10-point lead.

However, the Raiders came back alive in the final period. Their defense kept Jackson and co. in check while the offense finally got rolling. The Raiders ended up scoring two field goals and a touchdown to come from behind and celebrate an unexpected win.

The Ravens are now 0-2 to start the season for the first time since 2015 and the fifth time in franchise history. For the past four times, the Ravens ended up missing the postseason when winless after Week 2.
