The Los Angeles Lakers have been actually winning games lately, going 8-2 in their last 10 games. They have their superstar Anthony Davis to thank for this, as “The Brow” has been playing some of his best basketball down that stretch. This included scoring 55 points and 17 rebounds in a 130-119 win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday.

Davis struggled with injuries to start the season, but he now looks healthy and ready to help the Lakers, who started 2022-23 with a 2-10 record, climb the West Conference Standings. He has been averaging 35.3 points, 15.6 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks a night in the past nine games and propelled himself if the MVP conversation.

During the Wizards game, which was in Washington’s Capital One arena, Davis was showered with MVP chants on several occasions.

His Lakers’ teammates are also stepping up to aid his MVP campaign, including fellow superstar LeBron James.

“He’s been unbelievable, man,” said James said. “On both sides of the floor. I mean, playing like the MVP of this league. Just straight dominance.”

Although there is still a lot of basketball left to be played, Anthony Davis might be putting together his best regular season as a pro. He is currently averaging career highs in points (28.6), rebounds (12.8), and field goal percentage (59.0). On top of that, he is also getting consideration for Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
