LAFC are reportedly saying goodbye to their prolific forward Diego Rossi. According to multiple reports from Europe, Rossi is set to join Turkish side Fenerbahce after the two clubs came to a transfer agreement.

Rossi has been a subject of interest from Europe for some time now, with LAFC being open to selling the 23-year-old star. But the MLS club was firm with their evaluation and reportedly asked between $10 million and $16 million at various points.

No club has been prepared to meet LAFC’s transfer fee demands, but Fener came closer than any other. The Turkish club needed a proven option up front, and Rossi was on top of their board.

Vole reporter Yagız Sabuncuoglu reports that Rossi is already set to travel to Turkey and have his medical.

Diego Rossi joined LAFC for the club’s inaugural MLS season in 2018 and has since emerged as their key player. Rossi made a total of 121 appearances for the Los Angeles club, scoring 59 goals and dishing 22 assists. He helped Bob Bradley’s side win the Supporters’ Shield in 2019.

Rossi also picked up a number of individual accolades during his time in the league. He earned two All-Star appearances, one MLS Best XI selection, and a MLS Golden Boot award from 2020.
