LAFC bolstered their attack on Tuesday, agreeing to a three-year deal with MLS veteran striker Jeremy Ebobisse.
The team confirmed the deal on their social media, adding that the agreement contains an option for the 2028 MLS season.
Ebobisse spent his early career with Portland Timbers, where he scored 29 goals in 109 games and helped the team with the MLS is Back Tournament in 2020. He played for the San Jose Earthquakes between 2021 and 2024, scoring in double digits in the past three seasons. He managed 38 goals for the Earthquakes in all competitions.
Ebobisse also has one appearance for the United States men’s national team, being featured in a 3-0 friendly win over Panama in 2019.
“Jeremy is a proven forward in our league who has scored goals and been a meaningful contributor to his teams throughout his career,” LAFC general manager John Thorrington said in a statement. “We are incredibly excited to welcome Jeremy to strengthen our attack as we continue in our ambitions to compete for multiple trophies in 2025. We know Jeremy will be a great addition to LAFC on and off the field.”
LAFC finished first in the Western Conference in 2024 and went on to reach the conference semifinals in the MLS Cup. They also won the U.S. Open Cup for the first time in its history and were runners-up in the Leagues Cup.
