The Los Angeles Rams seem to be far from done with making big roster moves after releasing All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner earlier this week. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Rams are also looking to part ways with star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Pelissero reported on Saturday that the Rams already had talks with interested teams centered on Ramsay. They are expected to continue feeling the market for a six-time Pro Bowler in the near future, with league sources expecting him to be moved in the coming weeks.

The Rams are open to moving Ramsey for the same reason they released Wagner; salary cap. If they trade the 28-year-old player, the LA team is expected to save around $5.6 million. They will also be off the hook for the remaining $74.6 million on the five-year, $100 million extension the player signed in 2020.

After Pelissero’s report went live, Ramsey seemed to have responded to the rumors in a series of posts on social media.

There will certainly be no shortage of teams interested in Jalen Ramsey if the Rams go forward with their plans to trade him. He is still playing on a high level, having recorded career-high 88 tackles, 18 passes defended, and three forced fumbles while adding four interceptions in 2022. Some of the teams mentioned in Ramsay sweepstakes include the Detroit Lions, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Las Vegas Raiders.
