The Los Angeles Rams have potentially saved their season thanks to Sunday’s comeback 24-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

The Rams lost their first two games of the season, and it looked like they would start the campaign 0-3 after the 49ers scored a field goal early in the fourth quarter, making it 24-14. However, the LA team had no intention of giving up so easily.

After responding with a field goal of their own, the Rams forced the 49ers to attempt a 55-yard field goal. Kicker Jake Moody missed the attempt, giving the Rams a great field position that they turned into a touchdown.

Rams’ quarterback Matthew Stafford unleashed a 50-yard pass to Tutu Atwell before back Kyren Williams punched the ball into the end zone in his second attempt.

With the game tied at 24-24, the 49ers only managed to advance 15 yards on the next possession before being forced to punt the ball. Rams’ punt returner Xavier Smith then made a huge play, returning the ball to the 50-yard line.

The Rams advanced the ball to San Francisco’s 19-yard while bleeding out the clock and setting up the stage for Joshua Karty for a game-winning field goal.

The Rams’ win becomes even more impressive when you consider that they were without their two-star wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, who are both out due to injuries. Now, the team gets some pressure off and heads into the Week 4 winnable game against the Chicago Bears in a great mood.

The 49ers, on the other hand, have lost two straight and fallen to a 1-2 record, a surprise given their status as Super Bowl contenders. They are facing the New England Patriots in their next game.
