The Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs moved one game close to the Super Bowl after defeating the Dallas Cowboys and the Indianapolis Colts respectively on Saturday.

The Chiefs held off the Colts 31-13 in a snowy Saturday evening that saw quarterback Patrick Mahomes compile 278 yards and a touchdown and Kansas break a six-game losing streak in playoff games. In a relatively better environment, the Rams overpowered the Cowboys 30-22 in a creative, offense-centered game.

The Rams, who won their first playoff game since moving back to Los Angeles, will face whichever team wins between the New Orleans Saints and the defending champions Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas will play the winner between the Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots.

Despite the awful weather conditions, Mahomes was full of excitement after the win.

“We played a great team football game,” he said. “There was a lot of excitement here. The fans were awesome. Defense played amazing and the offense did enough to get the win in the end.”

CJ Anderson, whose 123 yards and two touchdowns powered the Rams past Dallas, was only one of the many Rams players that played impressively on Saturday. Todd Gurley had 16 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown while Jared Goff made the run that sealed the win.
