The Los Angeles Clippers continue to prepare for life without superstar Paul George. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Clippers have signed guard Terance Mann to a new contract extension.

Mann, who was set to become a free agent next summer, inked a three-year, $47 million contract. He will earn $11.4 million in 2024-25 under his previous deal.

The Clippers have had a busy offseason that saw them let George leave in free agency but work out deals to keep several other key figures with the franchise. This included giving veteran point guard James Harden a new two-year contract, signing center Ivica Zubac to a three-year extension, and keeping head coach Ty Lue on a new five-year extension.

Signing Mann to a new deal felt like a logical next step. With veteran Russell Westbrook now with the Denver Nuggets, the Clippers needed to shore up their backcourt and likely have a bigger role planned for Mann.

Terance Mann entered the league in 2019 as the Clippers second-round pick. After getting a slow introduction to the pros in his first two seasons, he put together a notable campaign in 2021–22, averaging 10.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.

Last season, Mann started 71 games, most of his career, but had to sacrifice the touches due to the presence of Kawhi Leonard, George, Harden, and Westbrook. This led him to average 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
