Kylian Mbappe still hasn’t decided on his next move despite recent reports that the French striker agreed to a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe is set to become a free agent in the summer and he was previously linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The news about Mbappe’s agreement with PSG came from Le Parisien. According to the French media outlet, the two sides agreed to a two-year contract that would pay Mbappe north of $50 million annually alongside a $105 million signing bonus.

However, influential reporter Fabrizio Romano then shared that the sources close to Mbappe deny reports about the PSG deal. According to Romano, the player still hasn’t made up his mind, although he is expected to make a final decision soon.

Mbappe’s mother also released a statement in which she rebuffed the reports.

“There’s NO agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club,” the statement says. “Discussions around Kylian’s future continue in great serenity to allow him to make the best choice, in the respect of all the parties.”

Kylian Mbappe rejected a contract extension with PSG back in the summer, causing many to believe that he is plotting a move to Real Madrid; the club he supported as a kid. Real later tried to sign Mbappe in January, but their bids were ignored by the Ligue 1 champions. However, the La Liga side still remains optimistic that they can get the 23-year-old phenom to Santiago Bernabeu despite PSG’s aggressive efforts to keep their star player.
